Since 1870 we’ve lived and breathed malting. With this passion and expertise, and by combining traditional and modern techniques, we create an impressive range of malted and non-malted products, including several unique and exclusive barley malts.
There is nothing more we love than talking to brewers and distillers so if you have any questions, or would like to arrange a call with a member of our team, please feel free to get in touch – we would love to hear from you!
With sites across the UK, Germany and Poland we employ people in a wide range of jobs in different sectors of the business. We have teams in production, engineering, laboratory, finance, customer service, sales, transport and IT.
All new staff are enrolled in an induction programme to welcome them to the business and to equip them with the skills required to do the job in hand. We have lots of employees who have worked here for more than 20 years bringing skills and knowledge to their roles.
At Crisp we value our team members for everything they bring to the business. Our culture is centered around producing high quality, consistent malt, delivering world class customer service, building collaborative partnerships with our customers and offering expert technical knowledge and support in brewing and distilling.
We pride ourselves on our training here at Crisp. With employees who are experts in their areas of work, we ensure their knowledge is shared and passed on. Each department formulates training programmes to equip their team members with the knowledge they need to carry out their roles.
As well as this, we are members of a number of external organizations such as MAGB – the Maltsters’ Association of Great Britain, IBD – the Institute of Brewers & Distillers, and BFBI – Brewing, Food & Beverage Industry Association.
Here’s what some have to say about working at Crisp:-
Luke Bennett, Sales Operations Manager
All my colleagues are super supportive. Everyone mucks in together, there’s no ego. The teams all genuinely get along, even the directors are really approachable and involved. If you’ve ever got an issue everyone’s there for you. It’s a really great place to be a part of.
Laura Biddulph, Sales Operations Administrator
Crisp Malt was a big career change for me, but I’ve felt really welcomed and been given plenty of opportunity to grow. I was able to learn more through the IBD Essentials in Brewing Course, which has really elevated my knowledge and helped me progress. Every day is exciting here and being surrounded by friendly faces and passionate people is just the cherry on top!
