With a strong background in the food industry, he has previously served as a Production Manager and Continuous Improvements Manager, where he honed his skills in problem-solving and process optimization. Doug is also Six Sigma Green Belt trained, which enhances his ability to drive improvements across operations.

What attracted Doug to Crisp Malt was the positive impression from the interview process and the commendations from both current and former employees. He values the company’s commitment to quality and teamwork, making it a perfect fit for his expertise.

A fan of rich flavors, Doug enjoys porters, dark ales, and stouts, appreciating the depth and complexity they offer.

In addition to his professional achievements, Doug has recently retired after 40 years of dedicated service with the Norfolk Fire and Rescue on-call service, where he held the rank of Watch Manager. This unique experience has brought him to our site for training sessions, showcasing his commitment to safety and community.
