German Maibock IPA Victorian Steampunk Ale
Our Light Munich Malt is a versatile base malt created by taking Vienna Malt a stage further in the kiln. This specialty malt delivers smooth malty sweetness, soft toast character and a light amber color. The additional heat from the kiln promotes melanoidin reactions to produce rich bread crust flavours. Light Munich Malt can be used as a base malt since the enzymes are suitably preserved in this malt.
The use of Munich and Vienna malts is not just for German-style beers; they add a beautiful, subtle complexity to many beer styles. It is an excellent choice for brewers looking to add richness without overpowering hops or fermentation character.
