Game-changing sports sponsorship by Crisp Malt

A sponsorship deal by Crisp Malt has been heralded as ‘game-changing’.

The 5-year agreement, worth £15,000, will make all the difference to the Bungay & District Sport Association, according to its vice chair, Stuart Smith. He says,

“Between them, our football, cricket and tennis clubs have around 450 members, but our facilities are used by far more people than that. Our pavilion plays host to club meetings and events; award-nights; family celebrations; weddings and wakes.

The Association is run by volunteers, and generating income to keep everything going is a constant challenge. Crisp’s investment is a game-changer because it brings some financial certainty and allows us to plan. That’s really important when it comes to running the pavilion, and keeping things going for our football, cricket and tennis clubs.

We’re really grateful to Crisp and have renamed our club-house the Crisp Malt Pavilion.”

Crisp’s Ditchingham Maltings is just down the road from the club grounds. Julian Cobb, site manager at the maltings, says, “The Association does a fantastic job. It is a real hub of the community – and we are delighted to support it.”

Members of the Association celebrated the announcement of the sponsorship deal at the Bungay Beer and Music Festival in the Crisp Malt Pavilion.

“What could be a more appropriate celebration than raising a glass of beer made with barley grown on nearby farms and malted locally by Crisp?” says Stuart.
