We work directly with almost 270 individual barley farms in Scotland. We know them and they know what each field on their farm is capable of producing, so as the new crop rolls in, we’re confident it will be the best two-row barley Scotland has to offer.
The finest quality two-row barley is expertly malted at our Alloa and Portgordon Maltings in Scotland by our team of experienced master maltsters.
The malt is packaged, either whole or crushed, at our state-of-the-art bagging facility in Alloa, Scotland, ensuring the malt arrives in the best condition possible.
The malt arrives at the brewery or distillery for mashing, where it in converted into sugary wort through the process of starch conversion. The starting point for creating your new and exciting beers and spirits.
