So, Josh, you’ve been with Crisp malt for four months. How’s it going?

It’s been an incredible experience! Joining Crisp Malt has allowed me to immerse myself in the world of malt production and how it serves the craft brewers in North America. The passion and dedication of everyone at Crisp Malt has blown me away.

Can you tell us a little about what you’ve been up to?

My focus has been building relationships with brewers, sharing the story of Crisp Malt, and exploring new ways to support and collaborate with the craft brewing community. Since I started, I have traveled around North America, meeting with brewers, and trying to learn what’s important to them and how we can better serve their needs.

This is going to be your first CBC with Crisp Malt. Are you excited?

I’m incredibly excited! CBC is a fantastic opportunity to connect with brewers, learn from industry leaders, and showcase Crisp Malt’s offerings. I can’t wait to participate and share our passion for high-quality malt with the brewing community.

What’s your experience of attending CBC in the past?

CBC is the best time to connect with brewer friends I have made from around the country. CBC has always been a perfect time to network, learn, and to drink some amazing beers.

Why do you think CBC is still important to suppliers and Brewers in this digitally connected world?

There’s no substitute for face-to-face interactions and the chance to experience new products and innovations firsthand. CBC provides a platform for suppliers and brewers to come together, share ideas, and forge meaningful relationships that can drive the industry forward.

What are you most looking forward to at CBC?

I’m most looking forward to meeting brewers, hearing their stories, and learning about their brewing techniques and challenges. I’m also excited to showcase Crisp Malt’s range of products and discuss how we can support brewers in creating exceptional beers.

Why should Brewers visit Crisp Malt in the BSG Village this year?

Brewers should visit Crisp Malt to discover our full range of high-quality malt products. Our booth will be a hub of activity, with experts on hand to discuss brewing techniques, recipe development, and sustainability practices. Plus, we’ll have some special brews on tap that highlight the unique flavors of our malt.

It wouldn’t be CBC without some beers. What can we expect from Crisp on the taps?

On the taps from Crisp, you can expect a variety of beers showcasing our malt, from traditional styles to innovative brews. We’ll be highlighting our malt’s unique flavors and characteristics, so be sure to stop by and try them out!

Which products do you think will be most interesting for Brewers this year?

Brewers will likely be interested in our heritage malts, which offer unique flavors and characteristics that can add depth and complexity to their beers. Clear Choice is one product that I am excited to share with brewers, as it is polyphenol-free, allowing for easier filtration on brite beers.

Are there any emerging beer trends that have caught your interest?

I think this year will be a year of lighter, easier-drinking styles: rice lagers, corn lagers, and English milds. But in this industry, new beers are always pushing the boundaries of creativity. I think Crisp Malt is uniquely suited to support any emerging trends that might develop.
