Bob has been with Crisp for more than 30 years and is responsible for the company’s malting barley and energy procurement and associated commodity risk management.
During his career with Crisp, Bob has overseen the group’s annual malting barley purchasing grow from less than 150,000mt to in excess of 500,000mt . Over many years, Bob has built up strong, long term relationships with malting barley growers and other members of the supply chain. In particular establishing grower groups such as the ABC Group in Norfolk, that ensure Crisp can procure the best quality malting barley by working in partnership with growers to produce the right varieties and desired specifications for our wide ranging requirements for brewers, distillers and food manufacturers.
Bob is the current chair of the MAGB Trade Committee, a former chair of the Malting Barley Committee and recently retired member of the AHDB Cereals & Oilseeds Board.
