Since 1870 we’ve lived and breathed malting. With this passion and expertise, and by combining traditional and modern techniques, we create an impressive range of malted and non-malted products, including several unique and exclusive barley malts.
There is nothing more we love than talking to brewers and distillers so if you have any questions, or would like to arrange a call with a member of our team, please feel free to get in touch – we would love to hear from you!
Every year, we’re thrilled to be a part of BeerX. 2026 it’s back and bigger than ever, in Liverpool, where you can feel the buzz of the event already rumbling in the background. With just weeks until the event, we wanted to give you a sneak peek at the exciting things we’ve planned for our stand.
We’ll be celebrating a hugely successful year in our sustainability efforts, from Field Forward, our sustainable agriculture initiative, to Return-A-Bag, our awesome waste malt sack recycling scheme.
As well as a bold step forward in our sustainability efforts, we’ve been working closely with our craft brewers to help produce outstanding beer, with awesome collabs across the country – and across the pond. So, this is what we will celebrate at BeerX – the finest malt, used by incredible brewers, to create outstanding beer – and we want you to try it for yourselves on our bar.
First up is a hoppy English lager by the team at Blackjack Brew Co in Manchester. This collaboration beer is a spotlight on Clear Choice Malt, a malt that gives an intensely smooth mouthfeel, mild maltiness, and warm honey sweetness. Our Clear Choice Malt results in a super clear, shelf-stable wort, and it’s DMS-free, meaning we can reduce kilning time in the maltings, and the brewer can reduce boiling time in the brewery, which saves energy – win-win-win! Paired with Opus Hops from our friends at Charles Faram, this lager is going to be delicious.
Next on our BeerX bar is a nod to connection, between an East Anglian brewery and the surrounding barley fields that define its roots. This collaboration is with Chevallier Brewing Company, a brewery based on the Norfolk/Suffolk border, proud of their location. This collab celebrates Chevallier Malt at the forefront, with 300kgs going in, alongside 75kg of Best Ale Malt and 50kg of Cara Gold Malt. The beer, “Chevallier Barley Pale Ale” is a 4.5% modern pale ale, with a malty base, caramel notes, and great flavour from Amarillo, Columbus, and Idaho 7 hops. Cheers to that!
Beer no.3 is a West Coast Pale, produced by the awesome team at Shiny Brewery. Established in 2012 in a Derby pub garden, Shiny Brewery quickly gained recognition and moved to a larger site in Little Eaton in 2015. Guided by its ethos of “Making Happy People,” the brewery prides itself on inclusivity, integrity, and running on 100% renewable electricity. This collaboration represents the great work they’ve been doing and the incredible flavours our Haná Malt can deliver. This will be a wonderfully clear and smooth beer, with a freshly baked bread undertone, and that wonderful hoppy backbone you’d expect from a West Coast Pale Ale.
Last, but by no means least, is Hazy Dolcita Pal – a smashable hazy pale ale, produced by the Liquid Light team in Nottingham, and our new Technical Sales Manager, Steph Brindley. Liquid Light Brewery was founded in 2017, inspired by music, Pink Floyd, and all things lighting. “After watching a Pink Floyd documentary, with Liquid Light projections displayed behind live performances, we registered the name and started work.” This collaboration is a concoction of the best ingredients, with Extra Pale Ale Malt, Wheat Malt, and Flaked Torrefied Oats in the mix, alongside a brand-new hop, Dolcita (hence the name). Brewed for IWD, we’re excited to share it with you at BeerX in March!
We’re looking forward to catching up with you at BeerX, so please do stop by our exhibition stand, no.43. We’ve also got some awesome new merch (…did someone say new socks for 2026?), malt samples, beer, and so much more.
