Our Story, Our Malt

We are Crisp Malt; a maltings run by real people, with real passion, and real knowledge. Since 1870, we’ve been making the finest malted barley for brewers and distillers all over the world, from our home maltings in Norfolk, England. Today, our Norfolk maltings is still our home, but we now have sites in Scotland, Suffolk, Poland, and Germany, all producing excellent malt for customers worldwide. Our tightknit network allows us to reach brewers and distillers from all corners of the globe, with our malt creating, ales from America, stouts from Sweden, and whiskeys from Singapore. We service craft breweries with advice, counsel, and innovation through our technical sales team to ensure that you get the most out of our products so you can create the best beers.

We have an excellent range of malts, from Base Malts like Best Ale, to Heritage Malts like Maris Otter. As of the 1st of January 2024, you will have direct access to all our malts, which you can build your pallet from.
